Hey, what's going on?
Weasil here, so I tracked
some bass over the weekend
and things went pretty
good. I'm almost done,
just got to fix some fills
and stuff, other wise
things are comingt along
great. Wait until you hear
how awesome Charles' kick
drum sounds on this! I
will say this, Jon and
Adam are doing an amazing
job with our stuff and I
know I'm super pumped
about how 'Rise from
Nothing' will come
out! We're still
talking up a release date
on this, and we've been
taking our time tracking
things as not to rush it,
so basically we're saying
we don't really have an
anticipated release date,
once we go into mixing
we'll have a better
idea.
Here's this
week's studio video,
brought to you in part by
the Heineken Draught Keg
and White Castle and a
stupid monkey:
Just figured we'd clarify
it. We've been getting a
ton of requests to send
our tunes your way. While
we do appreciate the fact
that people want our
tunes, we please ask that
you wait 2 months. The
reason for this is we are
recording our cd right now
as we type this. So far we
have drums, and after this
weekend we'll have BIS...I
mean bass. Hey, look, it's
been a long week, we all
went to Gigantour tuesday
and somehow Charles hopped
on the tour. I think In
Flames kidnapped him.
Either way, we met their
ransom demands or they got
sick of him asking to play
the Roadhouse, wait that
would be pretty cool.
In the next few weeks
we'll be laying low, not
only recording but
hopefully finish the 2
songs we've been working
on. But we will return
live in either late May
(if we get that offer),
otherwise our first show
back will be June 14th,
which may or may not be
the cd release, we have to
see how things stack up.
For those who fear
physical copies, no need
to panic, we will not only
be selling them on myspace
thru Snocap but also thru
Itunes, amazonmp3,
rhapsody(if people use
that) and so on. Let us
know what you
think
We will be
attempting to sell T
shirts within the week
online. We have a limited
supply, but we'll have
them up. We have 2
designs, just check back
next week.
If you
have any questions
regarding booking feel
free to hit us up
pinionmetal@gmail.com and
we will get back to you in
a timely manner. You can
also contact us thru
myspace as well, but
please provide a phone
number.
I was kinda hoping Charles
would do this entry, but
we're all super busy. I
combed thru the footage,
didn't really get too much
of Charles drumming, but
this is probably the best
way to show you what went
down last weekend, plus
you get to hear a rough
version of the song and
all about Plantar Facitis,
that's pretty exciting. Ok
it's really not.
By the way, I
would just like to
personally note that
Windows Movie Maker sucks,
and that's why the quality
is so low. I'm workin on
it for the next
vid
We are going to
begin and hopefully finish
tracking bass next
weekend. We made an
attempt last week but my
amp resulted in Epic
failure, apparently
jumping off of your
speaker cab and pointing
your bass in the air
doesn't translate on an
audio recording very
well.
We really
haven't spammed you all
that much bulletin wise,
but we're playing an
"EARTH DAY" show with a
Nyack Reggae band
International Generation
on sunday 4/20. Also
playing will be Garbage
Juice, whom we previously
played with at Local
Origins, and more. It's an
early show, so you have
more than enough time to
watch us rock out and get
home in time for Family
Guy on FOX or The Rock of
Love reunion show, because
rocking Bandannas is
awesome? Oh no wait, maybe
not, unless Mini riots and
carrying an Axe around are
your thing. You know who
you
are...
