March 2008
Thanx for the awesome
turnout at these past 2
shows, you people really
kick ass!
We have
been recieving a lot of
requests regarding the
tunes in our player. Just
to clear it up, we never
intended for the tunes
currently up in our player
to be a representation of
our sound, we just put
that stuff up to give you
an idea. Honestly we would
feel guilty if we charged
for these or passed them
out, only because we know
we could do better, and we
know you deserve better
quality recordings! We
please ask that you bear
with us for the next
month, as we are going
into the studio to record
the songs "for real". We
have a lot of stuff
planned for the songs we
have and if you wait 2
months, you’ll really
hear what we are capable
of. It’s not that we
are dissapointed totally
with the quality of the
tunes, it’s that all of
them were either recorded
on the rehearsal space’s
beat up amps and drums,
plus, we got all got new
amps, and we want you to
hear those, not that Vox
amp and that weak non
ported Ashdown bass amp,
Chris hates that thing to
death. Dave just got a new
Peavey 6505, and
Chirag’s Peavey JSX both
sound amazing. I guess the
moral of the story is for
now you’ll just have to
see us live to hear us for
real. Randall Flagg put it
best "Those recordings
they have up don’t do
them justice", so please
be patient
Speaking
of shows, we have 3 shows
coming up and we figure
we’ll tell you a little
bit about them. The
first show is Local
Origins, and you can find
out more about them by
clicking on them in our
top 8 or whatever it’s
called anymore. We will be
doing a radio interview
for the show friday night
between 8-10 pm on http://www
.rocklandworldradio.com It involves being at
Olives so we’re probably
going to be in a fun mood
for the interview. We have
to do something, because
we aren’t playing any
music on it! Be sure to
tune in, maybe you’ll
hear a story involving a
toilet! We are
returning to Otto’s
Shrunken Head on 4/4. If
you can, we strongly
advise you to make it to
this show, Chris is
planning something
special... The next
week we head back to Pearl
River for a show with our
friends in Days of War.
It’ll be Mikey’s
birthday, so you should
come just for
that!
Dunno if
it’s gonna happen next
week or not, but we’re
trying to get t shirt
sales up and running
online. Stay tuned for
more info on that.
We'd like to thank all
that came out to the
roadhouse to see us. For
those that didn't come,
you really missed out big
time. Randall Flagg and
Tiny Machines were
amazing! We debuted a new
song and it went over
really well!
We'd
like to thank Dave and G
force Productions for
the amazing sound and
lights! I really urge all
you bands to add him, he
is a great ally to have in
your corner! We would also
like to thank Tiny
Machines for coming
out and playing an awesome
set, check those guys out,
great band, fun people and
we will be recording with
them next month, so if you
want to hear an example of
the quality of recording
we're going to have,
whoomp there it is!!!!!!!!
We'd also like to thank Randall
Flagg for not only
playing, but for
impressing the crap out of
us with thier sound. These
guys are great! Plus they
outlasted Arbitrary,
World's Demise, Close my
eyes, and Bricktown, so
that's gotta say something
about their staying
power. We hope to have
a ton of future shows with
all these
bands.
We'll have
pictures and video in a
day or 2. So please keep
tuning in.
We are
also playing NYC for the
first time ever on
saturday, if you are in
the neighborhood or get
excited over the
possibility of kicking the
Naked Cowboy square in the
go-nads, please come
out.
