So yesterday was THE BEST
DAY EVER! Me, Vince, and
our friend Treven got up
at 5:00 in the morning and
drove from Castro Valley
to the Rasputin Records
store in Mountain View, CA
for the first Metallica
signing in TEN YEARS! Much
of the day was spent
standing around waiting,
hoping, and worrying, but
I'll focus on the good
parts. When we arrived we
saw a few people signing
their names on a list. The
security guard told us
that writing our names on
it MIGHT help us get in.
As it turned out, if you
were not on the list, you
didn't get in. We just
barely got a spot as
numbers 385-87 out of
400!!! While we were
sitting around, a woman
with blue and black hair
came up out of nowhere and
casually handed us 107.7
The Bone (our local rock
station) stickers. We said
thanks and then it dawned
on us that the woman must
be Nikki Blakk, the DJ
that hosts the late night
radio show The Metal Zone.
Treven yelled out "Niki
Blakk?!" and we got our
picture taken with her. We
were already star struck
just from meeting a radio
DJ! Many cold, windy,
exhausting ours later, at
around 8:30 pm (we arrived
at 7 am) we were let into
the stare to meet them.
Unfortunately, Kirk Hammet
had left a few hours
before to catch a flight
to hang with Van Halen, so
we only caught a glimpse
of his curly hair as he
hopped out of his Lincoln
on arrival sometime
between 2 and 3 pm. Rob,
Lars, and James were all
very personable with us,
although James looked
exhausted. We got records,
posters, and magazines
signed, pictures taken,
and hands shaken. We also
scored free T-Shirts! It
was worth the wait, every
last god-damned, freezing
minute of it!

Whatsup all you people who
care enough and are kind
enough to actually read
our blog. As you may or
may not have heard, we
were on the lookout for a
new drummer, and now we
found him. His name is
David and we should have
some pictures up of him
with the band in not too
long. We have recorded two
new songs with him:
"Attack of the Brewer" and
"Take a Ride on the
Midnight Meat Train",
which are both up on our
page. Later - Scott
Yeah, so for fhe few
people paying attention to
the legacy of this band
and actually reading this
blog (God Bless Ya),
here's just a heads up of
the not so distant future
after we finish the
masterpiece that is THE
BURSTING OF THE APPENDIX.
I just bought the Eagles
album Desperado the other
day which is a concept
album, and I couldn't help
but notice that it was
COMPLETELY BADASS! So I
thought as the perfect
follow up, we should do a
concept album. We're in
talks, and I got a few
ideas, I don't know what
anyone else thinks about
them yet but I'm somehat
sure that this is gonna be
either COMPLETELY BADASS,
or a complete failure, but
Hell it's worth a try.
