What the Hells been goin
on?!
So we've admittedly been
real quiet over the last
year. Things have been a
little crazy for the band
and many of you know we've
been putting a lot of
focus into this album. We
spent the entire 1st half
of 2007 prepping the album
for production... the
second half of the year
was spent recording and
figuring out a way to get
our music out there.
We are confident in our
music and have come a long
way as a band, so it was
important to us to make
sure we did everything
right, even if it added
time and money to what we
had originally planned.
But now the good news…
The CD Release:
Finally, after all this
work, time, and money…
the CD is ready and in the
process of being produced
right now. The official CD
release is going to be
March 14, 2008 at the
Clubhouse in Tempe. More
information will be coming
this week as to what bands
will be playing with us
but for now let's just say
this show is going to be
huge. It will be a mix of
bands that have really
helped us over the last 2
years as well as a few
great friends we met along
the way. This will be the
first day you can purchase
the album
The Album:
The album is officially
titled "The Surface and
the Vision" The reason we
chose this title is
because this album is a
perfect intro to who we
are, and where we see
ourselves taking our
music. Half of the journey
in creating this album was
discovering how we are
musically, how our styles
fit into the band, and
where we want to be. This
CD is the foundation (The
Surface) for what we are
and where we're going (The
Vision). We are
unbelievable excited we
are to get it you're
hands!
Spreading the Word:
Many of our older fans
have probably noticed that
our MySpace friend count
has been shooting up
between 70 – 200 a day.
The reason for this is we
are making our first
active promotional push.
The first 1500 or so fans
we had were either people
we met, people who found
us on MySpace, or a few
random adds we'd do here
or there. Now it's
different, we are actively
looking to add new people.
Not only on MySpace, but
also on thesixtyone.com,
ourstage.com, and
ursession.com, and many
more to soon follow. Also
expect in the next week or
two a new webpage and
mailing list. And within
the next 45 days, and
online store with the CD's
and shirts as well as
posters, stickers, etc…
How can you help us?
We need to get the word
out now, tell friends you
know in the real world,
friends on MySpace, random
people you see on the
street ?, you're strange
neighbor with the ugly
little dog, anyone you can
spread the word to puts us
one step closer. We're
ready to be noticed! If
you want demo's to hand
out, tell us where to send
them and how many!
Anything anyone can do to
get our name out there, we
appreciate. And make sure
you tell us what you did
or are doing so we can
give you our appreciation.
Don't be shy or humble...
if you gave away 10 of our
demos, make sure you tell
us! If you give away One,
make sure you tell us The
more fans we get, the
harder it is to keep
updated on what's going on
with everyone; but those
of you who have known us a
while know we try to keep
as much contact with you
as possible. This isn't
any different.
We also need street teams,
all over the place! The
only way we're ever going
to get to touring the US
is when we can get a
decent enough fan base to
come see shows we play
out-of-state. So if you're
interested in
forming/joining a street
team, let us know.
Anything else you can do
to help us… get us on
Internet radio, local
radio, etc… the better
off we are!
2008
This will be our year, we
are ready! Among the other
things I mentioned, expect
to see us playing out a
lot, constantly adding new
elements to our shows, and
a lot of promotion! This
year we go from that
unheard MySpace band to
the band that is
everywhere. Watch out,
cause here we come!
