life imitating art and vice versa...a random rant and then some.
story short...less than three weeks ago, my van with most of my tools in it was stolen while i was at work.
i filed a police report, several hours later the van was found, yadda yadda yadda.
later that evening while conversing with my big homie Drew Sage, i mentioned what had happened to my van earlier in the day...

at this point you're probably thinking to yourself, "story short my ass"!
"what in the hell is Lenny smoking and why is he telling us all of this"?
"get to the point already would ya"!?!?...

okay...what i'm trying to say is.
a couple of days ago i dropped in on Drew's profile and found that he had written and recorded a song about my van being stolen.

no shit...check it out.

Blessed in the Midwest.
Greetings from Des Moines, Iowa.!.!....

i just wanted to take a minute to show my absolute appreciation to everyone who's opened their ears, eyes, hearts and minds in support of my thang....huge THANKS for the rates, votes and love notes.

as you may or may not know, my main motivation for pimpin my expression via ursession is the need to purge my soul through the music by baring it and sharing it....always remember that regardless of the outcome, you've given me the greatest gift that any artist could ever receive.

keep thinkin free and supportin the simple man, the unsigned and the sub-underground.

much love and many blessings.

Sincerely,
lenny

Lyrics for "Silly Me" and "Silly Me II" feat. Drew Sage.
Lenny's Lyrics for "Silly Me" & "Silly Me II", feat. Drew Sage:

Verse)Another day goes by I called you but got no reply, no messages is messin with my head.
The clock has stopped upon the wall an empty wine glass in the hall, it's all for one and one for all but noone writes and noone calls.

Chorus)Silly Me I thought it'd be much more than nothing this time, just a bitter taste and wasted time.
How could it be, I couldn't see, there never was a reason for this sick rhyme? How much more can I take before I break and lose what's left of my mind?

Verse)I thought I'd severed all those ties no more addictions no more lies.I'd washed my hands of you until they'd bled.
But now those voices in my head, the nightmares of those things we said, they hold me captive like these padded walls.

Chorus)Silly Me I thought it'd be much more than nothing this time, just a bitter taste and wasted time.
How could it be, I couldn't see, there never was a reason for this sick rhyme? How much more can I take before I break and lose what's left of my mind?

Bridge)Silly Me, Silly Me.
Can't you see this is killing me?
Silly Me, Silly Me,.....Silly Me.

Drew's Lyrics for "Silly Me II", feat. Drew Sage:

Verse)Would I be a super hero if my ID could defeat my SUPEREGO?
or would I be labeled and dismissed amidst the trooper negroes?
With man made laws, I can stay flawed, some school youth thought fool proof then they saw.
That's the fight, it's not just black and white, those who profess that mess detract insight.
Is evil really evil for the good of many?Could be any but should be plenty.

Verse)If a woman wrecks single-handedly, for her family, are the results still considered a calamity?
It only takes a distraught thought to form a sin but a born again will turn around and scorn a friend.
Even the litigious back down to a religious background, I feel like the answer is a prestigious smackdown.
That's the truth, there are no absolutes. You can't flip, from the hip is where you have to shoot really or am I silly?

Interlude)Not in their best interests, with excess hindrance, they curse us submerge us and bless kindred.
Just remember whenever they present the palatable, it's always dumb-luck and somewhat fallible.
