BIO

Lyricist, MC, poet, your favorite rapper's favorite rapper, real. These titles barely scratch the surfaceof the man that is Smooth Rock. Growing up in Richmond, VA, Rock's passion for being an MC began in high shcool. It was there that he engagedfellow classmates in lunchroom ciphers. Rock displayed immense promise, and a lyrical dexterity light years beyond his peers. Although his style was birthed in the schoolyard, his skills were sharpened in the streets. Growin Up On Richmond's southside Rock, alongside longtime collaborator C-Sinna, began to slowly build a buzz battling local MC's. A couple years later he would make a move to Norfolk, VA that would prove to be very beneficial. It was there that Rock began creating his own soundscapes to paint his aural pictures. It was also the location where Rock became a member of local rap group the Affiliates. Now back home in Cap City, with hot beats and an almost finished solo project on deck, Rock remains poised to show the world why he is the man and the myth, the legend in the making.
