RIP MENTAL IS A FOUNDING MEMBER OF GRAND RAPIDS SUPERGROUP S.C.U. (SELF CONTAINED UNIT). S.C.U. HAS RECORDED AND RELEASED OVER 14 PROJECTS SINCE IT BEGAN IN 1999. RIP HAS BEEN AN MAJOR FACTOR IN EACH RELEASE. S.C.U. EXPLODED ON THE SCENE WITH THEIR DEBUT HIT SINGLE "4 THE LOVE", WHICH FEATURED RIP MENTAL AS WELL AS OTHER S.C.U. MEMBERS. THE SONG WAS QUICKLY ADDED TO ROTATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. RIP AND S.C.U. HAS PERFORMED AND TRAVELED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY; NEW YORK, ATLANTA, HAWAII, MISSISSIPPI,MINNESOTA,CALIFORNIA,OHIO, LAS VEGAS AND OF COURSE SELECT SPOTS THROUGHOUT MICHIGAN.
