| Entering the game at 19 years old, Prophecy, also known as The Prophet is quickyly emerging as a producer, who has been compared to the greats, such as DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, Ayatollah, just to name a few. In less than a year, Prophecy has evolved his style, touching on various styles of hip hop, but never losing touch to the real hip hop that drives him and is noticibly heard in his music. Recently, he has linked up with independent acts such as Rod B. Guttah from Detroit, D.C.G., P. Genz, both from Chicago and K. Flow from California. Aside from the production, Prophecy is also an emcee himself, who starting writing rhymes at the age of 12. His love for hip hop started at an even earleir age. "I was about six years old when I heard Nas album "Illmatic", so I was already exposed to the real hip hop sound. My brother is pretty much the reason why I love hip hop the way I do. All that Gangstarr, Rakim, KRS-ONE music. I listened to all he had in his collection." Producing beats has become his main focus, but with comparisons to the legend Nas, in both flow and voice, he is easily a two-punch combination in the hip hop game. "The comparions are cool, im honored, but I still have to make my own mark in the game. I’m still trying to master my craft. However, I feel im the next best thing in this hip hop game and its only a matter of time before my music truly touches ground." |
