BIO

RA aka Sutter Cane aka Milky McFilthy hails from VA by way of Egypt. Seasoned but unsigned, Ra is 12 yrs deep into making music. Influences are Nas, Tribe, Rakim, Black Thought, Common & Mos Def. Mostly performing with his crew (PlanetiLL), Ra has been on stages from L.A. to Pittsburgh to DC and even up to NY's famed Knitting Factory. Ra has worked with signed acts such as Nappy Roots and Governor Washington and is currently recording a solo project as well as other collaborative works. Ra's solo debut will have production from Double O Skytzo, Ayatollah, DJ Honda & Kanye West. Release date is summer 08 but www.myspace.com/raplanetill will have to do in the meantime. Ok, I'm through talking about myself in third person! P.S. There is a new Native Tongue type of movement on the rise....Stay Tuned!!!
