BIO

Well, my name is Eric Bellamy , and I'm the primary singer/songwritter for Phototropic , but I'll get to that a little later. I've been playing music since I was able to hold a guitar( about 4 years old) When I was younger I focused mostly on guitar, but soon began to pick up more instruments as i went along. I grew up about an hour north of Toronto, so being in the country, music soon grew from a hobby, and into a vehicle out of town. I never really could find band mates, so after learning drums, bass, and began singing, I started to record everything all on my own. After writting some songs I felt were strong, I wanted to start performing them. Thats when I hatched the idea for Phototropic. Originally, I saw it as being a really "set" band atmosphere, but it didn't really pan out that way. After a number failed attempts at starting a steady band, I started to focus elsewhere. I began becoming more interested in producing and engineering. After attending The Harris Institute for the Arts in Toronto, and acquiring some gear for a higher end project studio, I started to change what I had thought Phototropic to be. I've had the band name for years, and it's just stuck, but it seems to be much more of a collaborative effort now, as I bring in more people as I meet them, and as opportunities arise for me to jam with new people. As it stands, I am the only original/permanent member of the band, but always look forward to meeting new, talented musicians to jam with. With an online community like URSESSION, id say the sky's the limit. eb

Dude that is fucking awesome you played all the instruments yourself recording wise thats damn impressive tu shay my good man tu shay. So now you play with random people? I haven't got to listen to the tracks yet because I am listening to vocals on our new album with the engineer and critiquing the album right now so I can't listen to music but i shure can type just fine :o) I have a new song that I would like your opinion on.
