BIO
Alfan first came up with an idea of making a band that is never been in Surabaya city which is full with punk agression or hardcore metal brute force.Taking influence from Joy Division,The Birthday Party and the lyricism of Moss Icon.He later teamed up with adhil to form a band called The Fuckface together with one of classmate in Faculty Of Culture in Airlangga University,Alfan himself is a dental student in the same University.Later on the following month Alfan came to a show held in a cafe called Brawn, he wore a shirt written PAPA ONTA on it,a gift from his aunt back from Makkah, Adhil suggested that name become the band's name,at first Alfan is somewhat confused and awkward but then again it was used until now. Then Erven called his old mate named Akio who is a multitalented musician to join the band. The band started their first gig on a community show at magnet zone may 2008,and at that moment The cult of Onta was born.

Yeah i agree that the drummer of joy division had alot more energy than the drummer of interpol. So what made you want to play music? What do you play by the way? So its preety bad music wise in indonesia? its very differnt over here but also similar. You either have to be super amazing to get nocited (eny genere) or you just have to play stuff that sells. The music on the radio is stupid over here, they play one song about a 100 times a day. Mabey you should come to america later in the future and join the music scene. Thats preety funny your may go solo for a bit and I may join a band. Lately i been listing to The Mars volta, they have a song called Entrakara(i think its spelled wrong) look it up on youtube. Its a really nice song. ANd you into progressive eny?

Very true. Thanks for the info on music makes. Im currenty recording with it. i like joydivision but not enought to be unfluenced. Interpol is the band that made me want to play the guitar. So,what is it like in Indonesia.(I hope asking is not offending) im from america and I have no experience of the outside world.
