Joseph Glenn Coberly III aka "Big Chief" Born in Kilmarnock, VA on April 1st, 1986 Raised in Middlesex County, VA A proud 3/4 Cherokee/Shawnee "I may live in VA, but my home is Hip Hop" Big Chief is an Artist, a Producer, a Writer, a DJ, and numerous other things relating to music. As he says "If I do all the extra work myself, and do it like a pro, I DON'T HAVE TO SPLIT THE MONEY!". He does anything and everything when it comes to music. The music industry has been a home to Big Chief for about 5 years. He began by working as a DJ in a small hip hop club on the Outer Banks of North Carolina using nothing more than a simple laptop computer and a DJ program. Being a big part of the nightlife in the area, He was always around music and learned a lot by just listening and mixing other artist's music. He eventually fell into hip hop production and made some of the hottest beats money can buy. Craving more than just the instrumental half of hip hop music, he picked up a microphone, and became Big Chief! "I got tired of selling my beats for other people to rap to, so I tried rapping, and people wanted to hear more". Now, 5 years into the game, Chief does EVERYTHING! Produces the beats, writes the lyrics, records the voices, designs the web pages, edits the photos, remixes the songs,manages, distributes, does the legal work, and does it all with STK "Self Taught Knowledge"! "I don't know it all, but I know good music, and I wouldn't make a song I wouldn't listen to"

DMX, Snoop DOGG, ICP, Cypriss Hill, Eminem, Tupac, 50 Cent, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sugarhill Gang, Lil Jon, Ludacris, T.I, Smashmouth, Akon, Powerman 5000. All these artists reflect in my flow. All though they reflect, I sound nothing like any of them, because I am not copying them, I am trying to sound better! You will never have a new sound copying someone elses sound. I thrive to be at the top of someones list of Influences one day.
