Raised on the quiet island of Alameda in the Bay Area, Lid’l Darryl was born at Kaiser Permanente in the notorious Oakland, California. The self acclaimed “Baby Boy Piranha comin’ out that Bay Water” is a young, fresh, and unprecedented artist in the game who is not to be slept on. His solid, young voice is one of the most original sounds to grace the airwaves. In a time where mediocre is the norm and emcees are constantly replicating the same industry figures, this young gunner from the Bay stands out with a vibe that is both intelligent and gritty. His uniquely syncopated flow combines witty delivery with aggressive rhythm and powerful rhyme scheme. “This is one artist that can boast both a classical appeal that rivals that of Nas and Notorious B.I.G., and a melodic instrument laden groove that is reminiscent of the late 2pac” (Apes, Animal Planet).
