| Kennedy Road is a hard rock band that utilizes melodic hooks to spark an original feel in the minds and hearts of their fans. Fans that in a short amount of time went from dozens to hundreds, who are soon to be thousands and will eventually become millions. These fans are infected by the energy that Kennedy Road puts into every song whether it's on a CD, on the radio or at a show. Kennedy Road has been described many times over as "...a 3 piece band that hits you with so much sound and energy, you would swear they're a 5 piece if you weren't looking." and that brings a smile to their faces.
Originally formed in 2005 under the name Niteshift, Kennedy Road has performed many high profile shows and gained a great amount of exposure in the process. Kennedy Road has opened for such nationally touring bands as Drowning Pool, Ra and 10 Years. In the winter of 2006 Kennedy Road was chosen to perform in The Rave Bar (www.therave.com for more info) as a pre-show opener for the then current Sevendust tour. By doing this Kennedy Road has joined a long list of bands who have since gone on to do great things in the world of music. Most currently Kennedy Road has been building their fan base on the homefront. The Back Bar in Janesville, WI has been Kennedy Road's "home" for the better part of the last year (www.thebackbar.com for more info). Through their shows at The Back Bar, Kennedy Road was chosen to open for Caroline's Spine, a nationally touring band from Oklahoma (www.carolinespine.com for more info). This was a sold out show that exposed the Kennedy Road style to hundreds of people. Along with this, Kennedy Road is currently being filmed as one of the feature bands in a documentary about the rock music scene in Rock County, which is where the band originates from. This project is still in the early stages of filming and delopement, but the main goal for the future is to have this video shown and distributed across the country. Kennedy Road is very excited about this project and hopes that it will expose them to many people who normally would not get a chance to see them. ***UPDATE*** Kennedy Road has been selected from a large pool of excellent bands to open for HURT (www.hurtband.com) at The Annex (www.intheannex.com) in Madison, WI on February 13, 2008. This is a huge opportunity for the band and they hope to get a warm welcome from the large and rowdy Madison crowd!
What the future holds for Kennedy Road is anyone's guess. With a little help they hope to rock bigger venues, record a full length CD and tour with other amazing bands and artist's. Kennedy Road will keep pushing, working, writing and rocking until they reach their goals and there's nothing that can stop that. |
