| James Wade, b. March 1st 1982, Elk City Oklahoma. An Emcee, Songwriter and accomplished performing artist with a talent for wordplay unlike anyone to date, complimented by a voice that penetrates the soul of any audience, from any culture.
Writing since the age of 16 and recording from the age of 19, JW’s back-story is extensive and riddled with hardships the young artist had to overcome. A representative of Compton's legendary METAMORPHOSIS, and The Watts Prophets legendary HIP HOP POETRY CHOIR, James Wade is a lyricist’s lyricist.
After countless group singles and mixtape material with Metamorphosis (myspace.com/metamorphosismusic), Wade embarked on his first solo project “Gimme My Cut” in summer 06’ Produced entirely by West Coast Legend 1Man of Outworld, which sold thousands of copies in the streets to date and is very popular amongst JW’s cult following. Shortly thereafter, James Wade along with Malachi of The Dungeon Family, created the timeless classic ATL.A, which is available at myspace.com/atlatv.
Currently James Wade is creating his sophomore project entitled “The Hard Line” and is collaborating with some of hip hop’s finest on various other endeavors. Bottom line, don’t sleep on this man, he will one day be remembered as not only a pioneer, but one of the best to ever touch a microphone.
After a few years of collaberation with LAFCO ( L.A Filmmakers Co-Op) , which came through Chris Cronin & Cody Lucich, a vibrant film career followed soon thereafter. Connecting his Watts family with the film, James Wade along w/ Savage Beast and The Truth Ent. , brought the world a weekly dvd / online magazine called "REEL TALK" which was based around the people, art and reality of life in the Jordan Downs Projects, Watts CA. The 26 year old filmmaker has been creating videos with the likes of dead preaz, 2pac's Outlawz, Dungeon Family, Goodie Mob, Talib Kweli,Pastor Troy,Yung Joc, David Banner,Young Jeezy,JT The Bigga Figga,Freeway,J. Wells, Slick Rick, Fishbone, Thw Watts Prophets,Organized Noize, Oliver Stone, Don Cannon,Saul Williams, Russell Simmons and many more...
