BIO
I was born in Coney Island, Brooklyn NY. I can remember hearing records for the first time like jam on it, sucker mc's, the show, ladi dadi, roxanne roxanne and all the answer records, the breaks, basketball, aj scratch, friends, freaks come out at night, Im bad, stick em, no sleep till brooklyn, paid in full, etc etc. I grew up taping radio shows like Mr. Magics Rap Attack, Chuck Chill Out Show, and Kool DJ Red Alert.
I started making my own radiow shows with a mic and a double cassette deck boom box. As I started getting older I got into records and making mix tapes and still buy vinyl to this day. I graduated from I.A.R. (institute of audio research) in NYC in 1993 and then moved out to California to take classes at The Los Angeles Recording Workshop. Along the way I met some great Producers, DJ's and MC's. In Los Angeles I fell in love with editing and visual vfx, a field I still work in today.
In 1999 I moved back to Brooklyn and got hooked up at Sony Music Studios with a job and free studio time. Some friends from the bronx and I formed 3A Entertainment and would record demos there for the A & R's at Sony. It was a blessing and inspiration to be around such talented musicians, engineers, producers and hip hop icons. R.I.P. Sony Music Studios.
In 2001 I headed back west and spent some time up in San Francisco working on vfx movies at ILM and Tippett Studios as well as Directing and Producing a DVD/Cable Access series Called DMMA. You can see some snippetts at www.youtube.com/dmmasf
I also got involved in the SF hip hop scene where I linked up with Biko and The Black Fire Movement, Exclusive Daddy and The EMG music Group, DIrector Taj Mahal and The Team.
I currently live in Los Angeles and work as an On Line Editor/VFX Artist specializing in Digital Intermediates for Feature Films as well as producing records with Biko/Black Fire, Superstar Quamallah, The Gifted Tongues Assembly, and E.S.P.
