| Too Deep, who is originally from Buffalo, New York,
didn't live an easy life. With the economy breaking
down and single parent homes on the rise, Too Deep
found himself needing to be the man of the house. In
1989, his mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer
which quickly taught him that life could get even
harder. With his mom unable to work he found himself
trying to "fend" for his family. Food was scarce, close
were hand me downs, and money was obsolete. In
1990, Too Deep became a freshman at Emerson
Vocational High School and made some very bad
decisions. Too Deep started a gang called K.O.A
(Knock Out Artist), which began his so called "reign of
terror." Becoming a major player in the street game,
Too Deep often found himself in deep water. With
music and football being his passion, he somehow
managed to complete his high school education with a
3.0 G.P.A. and even captured multiple school records
for football.
In late 1994, his mom grew more ill and his bad
decisions continued to get worse. When looking back,
he realizes that he was a bad role model for his
brother. During this time period, he met his wife where
they fell in love at first sight. After having their first
son in 1995, they started to invest more time into Too
Deep's music. He purchased the necessary equipment
that he needed to officially start off his career and
began writing, singing, and rapping out of his home
studio. With his reputation he managed to acquire
some of the rawest talent in Buffalo. In 1998, Too Deep
had his second son but he still continued to live a ruff
life.
In 2001, Too Deep's mother passed away while leaving
him with the feeling as though he had lost his way.
Even with the help of his wife and two children, Too
Deep was past the point of help at that point. One
night, while sitting in his studio gazing out the window,
Too Deep wrote “Staren at the Moon” which served as
a tribute to his mom. On a rampage of continuous self
destruction, he found himself praying for help. Not
long after, Too Deep found out that he had an
opportunity to get out of Buffalo and pursue a change.
Too Deep took his family and his newly formed label to
the Tri-Cities area in Washington. He worked as a civil
engineering technician and had his third son. Too
Deep continued to make music and collaborated with a
local label called SGTM (Sounds Good To Me). Too
Deep was the first to perform at one of the hottest
clubs in the area called The Coco Loco. With Too
Deeps collaboration with SGTM, he recorded over 300
songs. Needing to expand his talent, label, and pursue
work, he had to send his family back to Buffalo while
he relocated permanently to Seattle. After the move,
Too Deep released his first solo album titled “Want
Some Get Some”. At this point, he began recruiting
more artist and acquiring necessary equipment for his
label. Too Deep continued to perform at various night
clubs throughout the West Coast just to be heard as
much as possible. As his hunger for music continued
to uncontrollably grow, he decided to move his family
to Spokane, WA. It was there that he established his
first real studio and released his second album titled,
“Life’s Real Stay Real”. Too Deep began to produce,
promote, and manage himself as well as his other
artists that have showed dedication to his label. Too
Deep and his artists released their first collaboration
album called “Fallen Rain“.
Even with using any and every resource he could find,
Too Deep fell short of his goal in Spokane causing him
to relocate his family again to Andrews, TX. Too Deep
currently resides in Texas, where after only three
months, he promoted his first Bloody Rain Production
at the Tejano Low Rider Car Show in Odessa, TX. Too
Deep continues to plan his success for 2008 for his
continuing fan base. |
