| For the last few years the ‘Metal / Rock’ scene has been very much underground, especially in England where metal used to be the genre of choice. Now with more and more metal and Rock bands reaching into chart status, maybe Gripshift can bring back the element that has been missing of late…. powerful Metal!
With Kerrang! Supporting the band’s debut album with no less than four KKKK’s, Gripshift are now set to tour around the UK and Europe promoting their new and latest promotional CD containing the outstanding tracks;

The main influences of the band are the likes of IRON MAIDEN, MACHINE HEAD, KORN and METALLICA to name but a few! This is not to say that Gripshift are the average clone wannabee’s that the UK normally dredges up, but to say that Gripshift are a band that plays the music they love and they play it from the heart is an understatement!

Andy Jamieson (Guitar)
Undoubtedly, Luci Thomas is amongst the greatest up and coming female Power Metal singers on the current UK scene. She has a raw talent and ambition that is second to none. This enables Luci to stand up to the generally male dominated metal scene, supporting bands such as ANTHRAX, SKID ROW and DIAMOND HEAD.
Ex- PURGATORY guitarist Andy Jamieson brings a fusion of ability, freshness and talent to the band and is certainly a strong influence in Gripshift.
Eddie Marsh is no stranger to the music industry himself, being a previous member of bands such as LIONSHEART, INTENSE and NIGHTFALL to name a few. With many tours under his belt, Eddie has now come home to roost with Gripshift. He has also taken on the role of Guitarist for the band to give Gripshift’s music more diversity.
Finally, Rob Sully drummer extraordinaire has worked with various metal bands throughout his musical career such as B.O.C, BIAS and NEON SCREAM. He brings to Gripshift a driving force and exceptional talent.
The one thing that sets Gripshift above the rest is their original sound and pure determination to succeed, with their large fan base already creating a buzz in the metal scene, this certainly won’t be the last you hear of GRIPSHIFT. |
