°° Essences est un groupe composé de cinq artistes, Maya et Diata au chant, Pat à la guitare, Lion aux percussions et Dj Junkaz Lou aux platines.. Leur nom Essences revendique le fait d’être eux-même sur scène comme dans la vie de tous les jours. Les cinq artistes s’assument en tant qu’êtres libres, pensants et indépendants. « Essences » en référence à l’origine, le parfum et à la chaleur qui émane de leur musique et de leur attitude. Une philosophie de groupe se résumant en quelques phrases : « Je pense donc je suis, je suis donc je m’exprime, Je m’exprime et j’assume, j’assume donc je suis »
