| D’origine Algéro-iranienne, et ayant grandit à Bagnolet (93) mais surtout à Savigny le Temple (77), Dj Okara a toujours été passionné par l’univers du Hip Hop. C’est d’abord vers l’art du dessin puis du graffiti qu’il se tourne, et forme en 2003 avec Ains et Cise, « ASL Crew ». En 2004, il participe avec Ains au festival de graffiti « Les Joutes du Graf » organisé à Savigny le Temple.
C’est en 2000 qu’il commence à s’intéresser au Deejaying en reprenant son blaz de graffeur « Okara ». Mais c’est en 2005 qu’il a réellement pu mettre à profit son intérêt et ses connaissances pour cette discipline en s’illustrant sur l’album de rap « Attentat sonore », accompagné de son acolyte Dj Kei. Il a également réalisé des bandes-son pour quelques shows de break-dance dans la région parisienne.
Dj Okara a pour l’instant à son actif une mixtape de funk baptisée « Get Funky », une mixtape de Hip Hop intitulée « Freestyle » et prépare une série de 3 nouvelles mixtapes : EarWorms Vol 1, 2 et 3. Afin de faire découvrir régulièrement les nouvelles prod en Rap US, Dj Okara a décidé de se lancer dans la création de ShortMixtapes dont EarWorms constitue le point départ.
Ses influences musicales sont larges et reflètent l’ouverture d’esprit qui guide son rapport à la musique en tant que Dj. Elles vont de la Soul, du R’n’B, de la New-jack, de la Funk, du Rap US au Ragga, Reggae et Dance Hall. Mais ses inspirations n’ont pas de limites, puisque Dj Okara s’intéresse à toutes formes de musique pour ses créations (musique classique, chanson française, musique arabe, iranienne, salsa…).

Dj Okara grew in France. He was always impassioned by the universe of Hip Hop. It is initially towards the art of the drawing then graffiti that it is turned, and formed in 2003 with Ains and Cise, “ASL Crew”. In 2004, it takes part with Ains in the festival of graffiti “Les Joutes du Graf” (the Tournaments of Graf) organized in Savigny the Temple (France).
It is in 2000 that it starts to be interested in Deejaying by going back to his name of graffor “Okara”. But it is in 2005 that he really could make profitable its interest and its knowledge for this discipline by illustrating on the album of Rap “Attenta Sonore” (Sound Attack), accompanied by its brother of sound Dj Kei. He also carried out soundtracks for some shows of break-dance in the Paris area.
Dj Okara has realized for the moment a baptized mixtape of funk “Get Funky”, a mixtape of Hip Hop entitled “Freestyle” and he is preparing a series of 3 new mixtapes : EarWorms Vol 1, 2 and 3. To discover new prod regularly in Rap US, Dj Okara decided to embark on the creation of ShortMixtapes whose EarWorms is the starting point.
His musical influences are broad and reflect the broad-mindedness which guides his relationship with music as Dj. They go from Soul, R'n’B, New-jack, Funk, US Rap, to Ragga, Reggae and Dance hall. But its inspirations do not have limits, since Dj Okara is interested in all forms of music for its creations (classical music, French song, oriental music, salsa…).
