D.G. (Douglas Garrett) aKa The Beach Boy is the name, due to the city I was raised in. Long Beach, Cali. 17 years old, 18 on saturday, July 26. 8th grade when my mother was involved in a high speed car accident, leaving both of her legs amputated really change my life. Put me into somewhat of a depression, forcing me to find a form of expression to deal with the horrors of the future burdens I would have to face to help my mother recover. They say tragedies can either make you, or break you. In my case, it made me into everything I wanted to be. A young MC just trying to get his word out. At 16, I was only being looked at by a label (MIDRATS Ent). At 17, they decided to hand me the contract. Now working everyday on Hollywood and Cahuenga Blvd. at the studio working on 3 mixtapes and my first album. I see this as an opportunity to promote my music and prove myself as a young man determined to take care of family finances somewhere down the line. Thank you very much. Enjoy the music.
