| Drugs. Violence. Degradation. All of these are common themes of today's popular music, but are not highlighted in the music of aspiring rap artist, CHIEF HOLYFIRE. At a young 26 years of age, CHIEF HOLYFIRE has found his niche in the music world with his influential lyrics highlighting spiritual revolution, respectable relationships, and the falsehood of the common rapper.
Aiming to present solutions to real-life situations, CHIEF HOLYFIRE gives inspirational credit to fellow artist and older brother, James E. Seay III, as well as his mentors, Paris of Guerilla Funk Recordings, entertainment lawyer Michael Aczon, and Anthony Marshall of "The Lyricist Lounge". He uses personal experiences in his songwriting to reveal his strengths, weaknesses, and motivation.
The Bay Area based artist, who works exclusively with producer, Scariano and helped launched ONE LIFE RECORDS in 2001, on which he released the hit song, "D.I. Joes" featuring American Idol contestant, Jonathan Smothers. With his honest lyrics, and captivating song content, CHIEF HOLYFIRE has been invited to perform at venues from Stanford University to celebrity-studded private parties of best-selling novelist, Terry McMillan. This exposure eventually led to a shoe sponsorship with TSUBO Footwear. Just recently ONE LIFE RECORDS formed an agreement with Function Drinks. Also teaming up with go getter Lathan Hodge of Urban Sky has been an experience in itself. |
