Currently, Alex Mejia is a pioneer in new media entertainment and cell phone technology. He is using his music, dj, marketing and artistic skills for original urban programming such as The Hip Hop Report and The R & B Buzz. He has also produced shows for AOL, TV commercials for BET and a Countdown show for Chuck D of Public Enemy. Alex’s longevity and success in the music industry has made a significant contribution to the Music & HIP HOP Industry. In his positions as a Director of A & R at Virgin Records and Street Music Director of KMEL, Alex has had the pleasure of making records with various artists, including: Bryan-Michael Cox, P. Diddy, Rodney Jerkins, The Neptunes, Diane Warren, E-40, Mario Winans, Wade Robson, Janet Jackson, Dj Quik, Luniz, Dj Premier, The Neptunes, Snoop Dogg, Raphael Saadiq, Ideal, Zapp Mamma, Tank, Rockwilder, Battle Cat, Fredwreck, Crooked I, Les Nubians, Nate Dogg, Rakim, KRS-One, Redman, Aailyah, W.C., Missy Elliot, Rappin 4 Tay, Arrested Development, Digital Underground, & Sway and King Tech. One of Alex’s talents is to choose HIT RECORDS when others can’t hear them.

MUSICAL INFLUENCES

Funk, Soul, R & B, Hip Hop, and Dance Music with a spice of JAZZ. Inspired by George Clinton, Prince, Rick James, KRS-One, The Neptunes, Dr. Dre & Timbaland. Also the beat creators of the DJ World also inspired me such as: DJ King Tech, Dave Meyer, Theo Mizuhara, Cameron Paul, Adrian Santos, Glenn Aure, Funk Master Flexx, & DJ Red Alert.
