 Biography
Born in Indiana, and raised in Michigan mostly, I have been a musician for close to 7 years now. I am a 14-year-old musician looking to pursue a life goal and career in music. My name is Devin. Seeing as I don't go by a special stage name, my real name works great for me. I guess you could call me SINIKOL, seeing as I am a one-man band, but that name just isn't suitable for me.
On to better things, I record at FATMAN RECORDS-- where not only am I a recording artist, but I also take part in the engineering of the recording. The Fatman himself handles my booking and selling. I have just recently released a CD under the name SINIKOL called Livin' The Life and I am working on another at the moment. The music is being sold on the FATMAN RECORDS-- myspace page. We are selling my music by consignment. FATMAN RECORDS-- is an Independent label, and I plan to remain an independent artist.
I as an entertainer, a musician, and an artist all together, I create and release my music for not only the sake of doing something I love, but to reach out to people. This is because I want to show everyone a variety of genres in music that isn't vulgar and is well created for the average person to relate to. My songs are written about my daily life, and the adventure within it. I write, record, and produce my own songs and music. A few main influences of mine are Rush, AC/DC, REO Speedwagon, Bad Company, Queen, Black Sabbath, Green Day, Molly Hatchet, Billy Joel and many other great bands and artists.
I believe my music is to be described in such way as to say it is hard rocking, and yet mellow. It is ranged from many different influential genres and artists, and yet keeps a certain unique sound to it. I believe it is not described as one certain type of music, but many. Also, that it carries lyrics that are to the point, and yet can be received in many different ways among an audience.
I believe that I am on my way to being successful as a musician. I work hard at it now, and I look forward to working even harder towards it as a life goal and career. I would say that my live performance is entertaining and keeps people tuned into what's happening. I am not just a musician, but also an entertainer. In order to generate an audience that is hyped to see me play I keep them interested in what's happening on stage, and not just playing one song after another.
I've played live for audiences many times before this day. I have played at private parties, at talent shows, a gig with Sinikol (that's before I went solo), and I played mostly acoustic music for about a year at a restaurant every Friday night. I have been performing for crowds since I was about nine years of age, and to this day I remain entertaining many people with my music.
