sorry, i've been really bad at keeping in touch right now. haven't even been on urSESSION regularly. just have had too much going on to keep me away. i never said, but your party was so awesome! i love your place... i used to live right on the river like that with my cousin missy. we used to have parties every weekend, but it ended up turning into parties every night. it's lovely being along the river like that. i did try to film. but it's in night vision, so all green and grey and um.. just mostly a bunch of drunk people blocking my view. i can probably just turn it into mp3. i need to watch through it again. i'm gonna have to write you a long email.
anyway, we are (justin, crystal, and i) going to see you play at musikfest on tuesday...are y'all gonna be hanging with poison? hahahahaha. um.. i need details. of what time and where to find you and stuff. my camera is still broken but i'm actually headed down to philly tomorrow so i'm gonna see if i can stop at the camera shop that fixed it up for me before. i'll be bringing my video camera too.
{There is no one on one and the same, we will do you one better. You'll know what (for/four), after you put two and two together.} [We're the best in this 100k on your session. "what,!? pilot has a band with garrity"... then "mike garrity SINGS?!?!" and then "holy shit, with an awesome voice!" :D ... btw... i don't know if you even know my sister tiff... i know your sister knows her... but she finally came to visit me for a whole minute and i got her to listen... she freaked out and was like "how cute, they're so awesome!!!, i love them, do you have a cd?" (my response to that was no... i wouldn't ever get it back!)
yeah, the song. and i'm super-busy, too.. hopefully i can make it.. it's hard for me to ever get out.. and.. my camera is still messed up but i'll bring my video camera... and i need the address of your new place... never got it and i couldn't find it if i tried.
"Quien es Si Senorita? They're one of the Philadelphia area's most interesting and noteworthy new bands..." - Rachel Perry, PLAY Magazine, Phila.
"SI SENORITA - A 4 PIECE REGGAE INFLUENCED , RADIO FRIENDLY , ROCK BAND. A WONDERFUL BLEND OF MELODY AND HARMONIOUS VOCALS. I WAS QUITE IMPRESSED BY THIS BAND'S SOUND. MIXING IN SEVERAL COVERS IN THEIR MOSTLY ORIGINAL SET WAS GOOD , BUT ADAPTING COVER SONGS INTO THEIR RIFF STYLE WAS INVENTIVE. GOOD SOLID MUSICIANS AND VERY TIGHT BAND. SMOOTH TRANSITIONS THAT MADE ONE FEEL WE WERE ON AN PARADISE ISLAND SIPPING MARGARITAS. TWO LEAD VOCALISTS WERE VERY GOOD ESPECIALLY WHEN HARMONIZING. A COOL STYLE WITH TIGHT MUSICIANS MADE THIS BAND VERY PLEASANT TO THE EAR . OVERALL , I DUG THIS BAND" - The Rusty Nail, Ardmore, PA
Si Senorita is a refreshing blend of reggae, blues and rock - performing ORIGINAL music that is generating quite a buzz in the Philadelphia music scene. At a typical show the music can range from a steady dub-reggae rhythm, to a ten minute instrumental, to some rockin' blues - each carrying the positive Si Senorita sound. Their fans enjoy dancing, singing along, and and making every show energetic. What is most amazing is how well they grab the attention of new listeners and make a musical connection with them. Based in Montgomery County (suburb of Philadelphia, PA), they are quickly growing to become one of the areas top original bands. They began playing together at an open mic that current band members Mike Garrity and Justin Dietrich co-ran at Finn McCool’s Tavern (Hatfield, PA). Mike Clemmer started coming out to jam the open mic with them and there was instant musical chemistry! Soon they decided to get together on Saturdays and practice, which is when Brian Motz began drumming for them. At this point it was time to officially form a band which is when Si Senorita happened. They got their first paying gig at the Bell House (now called Rising Sun Inn) in Telford PA and from there began playing all the local bars. They cut "El Demo" which was release in July 2005, selling the better part of 1000 copies in a matter of months! Brian Motz left the band in April 2006 at which time they added their current drummer Matt Stumpf. You can often catch them playing at bars/clubs in the greater Philadelphia area, but they are currently venturing out to tackle a wider audience and larger venues. Si Senorita has played and headlined well-known Philly music venues such as the Trocadero Theater, World Cafe Live, Grape Street, and The Khyber. Several of thier shows have been in connection with Philly radio stations such as 88.5 WXPN (home of nationally syndicated show "World Cafe Live"), and 93.3 WMMR (home of Pierre Robert, respected on-air personality). They were written up in Philadelphia's PLAY Magazine for a full-page COLOR feature in the April, 2007 issue. Si Senorita is proud of the fact that they do their own booking, promoting and merchandising. They have completed their first tour (Florida) spring, 2006 with unbelievable responses! Some Florida venues included Freebird Live (Jacksonville Beach), Alligator Alley (Ft. Lauderdale), and Flavour Nite Club (Miami). The band has just finished mixing their debut album, "Hightimes, Hangovers, and Harmonies" which is to be released Feburary 1st, just in time for their Florida Tour. The future is looking good for Si Senorita, and with the support of their fans they can continue to achieve great things and spread their unique style of "suburbanreggaeblues."
