BIO

The NuMetal Rock/Hip Hop band MinDepth, from Miami, FL, started with two best friends with similar music interests at heart. Frontman Joel Cabrera started rapping/mcing in a local group called "The JVC Rappers" at age 11. Having discovered his love for lyrics he continued to rap with various local artists all the way through highschool while starting to grow an intense liking for rock music. It was then in his final year of highschool that he coincidentally met Amed Fernandez who at the time had no particular interest in music. Still they became best friends and two years after, 2002, Amed became infatuated with metal/rock bands and soon after bought his very first guitar. It was a Fender Squire, which rumor has it, he still uses til' this very day. Together they wrote what would be the beginning of a new raw sounding band that future music listeners would be itching for and waiting to come out. The music was fresh and combined elements influenced by many different genres and artists. But it still seemed to be missing a certain foundation that would make it complete. Bassist, Monch Sallone, and guitarist Amed met at a music store. Monch was a sales agent at the store that just happened to sell Amed his acoustic guitar. The elements of the band were complete when Joel and Amed had a jam session with Monch and realized that he was what the music was missing. That was in 2006, fast forward to today and the band is now unveiling their first demo, "MinDepth Begins".Check us out also at www.myspace.com/Mindepth
