Reverbs are fun to use on snares, same with simple delays, there fun on hi-hats too! A Compressor is "manditory" though! Itll help bring more punch to your drums, if you do too much, itll bring ish sound to your drums, your ears are your judges, so test your beat quiet first!!! Also use descent stereo headphones, preferably the kind with the foam around your ears to block out sound, youll catch little things that you wouldnt hear through speakers. Somethin I learned myself!
Keep in contact!
untitled nasty has a hot flute to it, needs more to it though, strings, synths, basses, more to the drum line!
Same with alot of your beats, put at least 5-6 lines into a beat at least. (ex. drums, bassline, strings, synths, pianos, back-up drums, guitars, violins, hits etc.)
Then you will have to learn how to adjust levels, "USE COMPRESSORS" on your percussion, guitars and basses, "ALWASY START WITH your bass kick" try at a ratio of 6:1 and the threshold at -12dB! Let me know how this works for you!
